Privacy policy
1. Who we are
Level is a task and routine app for iOS and Android, operated by Rajan Dube (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at rajan.reachme@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Account information
You sign in to Level with Google. When you do, Google shares your name, email address, profile photo and a unique account identifier with us through Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your Google password.
What you create in the app
Your tasks and routines, including titles, notes, levels (the smaller steps inside a task), the list a task is in (Emergency, Today or Later), scheduled dates, completion status, ordering, and when items were created, started, updated or finished.
App settings and state
Your time zone, the date of your last Daily Reset and when your account was created, so the app behaves correctly across days and devices.
Technical data
When the app talks to our servers, Google Firebase processes technical information such as your IP address, device type and operating system version. This is needed to deliver the service and keep it secure.
What we don’t collect
We don’t use advertising, ad identifiers, third-party analytics or tracking. We don’t access your contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera.
3. How we use your data
We use your data only to run Level:
- to sign you in and keep your account secure;
- to store your tasks and routines and sync them across your devices;
- to show your next action, run Daily Reset and track your progress through levels;
- to respond when you contact us;
- to meet legal obligations.
We process your data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, and, where relevant, for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working. We don’t use your content to train AI models and we don’t sell it.
4. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in Mumbai, India (Google Cloud asia-south1). Google encrypts it in transit and at rest. The app also keeps a local copy on your device so it works offline; that copy syncs when you’re back online.
If you use Level from outside India, your data is transferred to and processed in India and in other countries where Google operates, under Google’s data protection terms.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and all your tasks and routines within 30 days. Copies in Google’s backups may take up to a further 90 days to expire.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- edit or delete any task or routine in the app at any time;
- ask for a copy of your data;
- ask us to correct your data;
- ask us to delete your account and all its data;
- object to or ask us to restrict how we process your data.
Email rajan.reachme@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also remove Level’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
Every piece of your data is stored under your own account, and our database rules only allow a signed-in user to read and write their own data. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell you without undue delay if a breach affects your data.
9. Children
Level is not meant for children under 13, or the minimum age for digital consent where you live if that is higher. We don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we’ll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
